Meet Derek.

Derek Wiley is the host of the “Can’t Deposit Excuses” podcast, and he has over a decade of experience as an entrepreneur, marketer, and successful business owner in the insurance industry. Derek is a native of Botetourt County and a graduate of the Virginia Military Institute. Prior to opening his agency in 2009, he worked in a variety of positions in the insurance industry for Progressive, Atlantic Mutual, and Ace Private Risk Services. Derek resides in the Ashley Plantation neighborhood of Daleville with his wife and high school sweetheart, Christina and their two sons, Ryan and Declan. When he’s not working on building his insurance business and helping others with their marketing efforts, he can be found coaching soccer, basketball, or volunteering as Secretary of the Troutville Athletic Club.
